I relaunched the software again and it worked the second time. It gave me a "Roxio has stopped working" error message and shut down. I then rebooted my compter and ran the software. With my security software turned off and my started up files disabled, I ran the repair for the Roxio software. I also check my software versions and I'm running DrectX 11, Explorer 9, and the most current Media Player. All were current, except the GeForce 8500 GT. I then manually checked my device drivers for DVD/CD player, RealTek High Def Audio speakers, and NiVidia GeForce 8500 GT. I also check my HP updates and it was also current. I could not find the "custom" tab you referred to, but I checked the optional installs and all that was there was Silverlight and about 34 language paks. I followed your directions by checking my windows updates, which were all current.
